Naturally I’m blonde but I have had my hair just about every colour during my student days. I’ finally decided it was time to go back to my natural blonde hair. The problem I had was that the length on my hair was not how I wanted it. I had it really short about 4 years ago and it never really grew back to the original length. That is probably the first time I actually started to look for blonde hair extensions. At first the sizes confused me, I didnt know what size would be natural and what size would look too long. After taking the blone extensions out of the packet and sizing them up against my head I decided the 18″ ones were about right.
Because I will be wearing the blonde hair extensions day in day out, I opted for 100% human hair so that they last longer and look natural against my own hair. There were quite difficult to find as most people opt for the cheapers synthetic hair extensions which in my opinion are a total waste of money. Besides, I often straighten my hair so synthetic would be no good for me.
My sister recently started to look for some hair extensions, she has a kind of brown blonde hair and always struggles to match the colour to dyes etc so it was no surprise she couldn’t find the right hair extension colour to match her hair. I suggested buying blonde hair extensions and dying the hair to the correct colour. The assistant in the store advised against this because it can damage the hair and there is a chance that they will turn out wrong. Luckily we tried the dye and they look fine. Even if she doesn’t get as long as she could out of them, they look great.
